NOTE FROM DAVE:
The first X-Men movie modified the timeline,
changed the character ages and let’s not forget
the leather uniforms. This time around, there are even more
changes to the X-Men. So it makes you wonder if
the screen writers actually ever bothered to read
the original comics books.

The Top 9 Signs the Screenwriters
Still Haven’t Read the X-Men Comic Books

9> Nobody dies. Nobody comes back to life.

8> Comic book? What comic book? I based the script on their guest appearance on Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends.

7> The Professor: Balding? Check. Telepathic? Check. Still screwing around with those two coconuts trying to raise the Coast Guard? Damn.

6> A super-hero team consisting entirely of post-sex-change females? That can’t be right.

5> And starring Jerry Mathers as a mutant beaver….

4> I’m pretty sure Iceman never battled anyone named Maverick, and even if he did, they weren’t flying fighter jets.

3> Is Professor X supposed to have a weakness due to Kryptonite?

2> In the comics, it is somewhat believable Jean would choose Cyclops over Wolverine.

and the Number 1 Sign the Screenwriters Still Haven’t Read the
X-Men Comic Books…

1> The plot actually makes sense without the use of illegal narcotics.
